Hanh is wearing her new Rick Owens jacket that she got from 4510 couple weeks ago. The jacket have a lot of volume by itself, but it’s very lightweight and great for Texas weather. To have the balance look Hanh put it back with a really fitted boots and a really simple dress inside. Very chic isn’t it?

We finally got to meet Maria Cornejo at luncheon today hosted by V.O.D and pink memo at Craft restaurant in the “W” hotel. Maria is very shy, sweet, and with a very charming personality. Her spring collection is beautiful in person with all of her geometric shapes dresses, and beautiful pattern all gathering together. She’s brilliant!!! We enjoyed the live short fashion show, the foods at craft is average, the only thing is really yummy is the banana cake for dessert. Oh well… fashion is first, food is second.

Me, Maria Cornejo and Hanh

Ladies in black wearing their favorite boots
Hanh is wearing Miu Miu strapless dress, Ann Demeulemeester vest, Givenchy nightingale python mini bag, and YSL boots.
I had on Tao by Comme des Garcons ruffle sweater, Rick Owens slip dress, vintage clutch, and YSL boots.

This is the 2nd time I had worn this sweater since last fall. The sweater is thick and low cut made it hard to suits the weather. It had to be the right temperature to be comfortable in it, and today is perfect.

Beautiful live model at the luncheon.
Sophia Kokosalaki 36 year old is a well-known Greek fashion designer with her own label based in London. A graduate of London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, she was chosen to design the opening and closing ceremonial outfits for the 2004 Summer Olympic Games, which were staged in her home town of Athens.
In autumn 2006 she was appointed Creative Director of the leading Vionnet fashion house but resigned in May 2007, stating that she will solely concentrate on the development of her own label instead.
Her trademark style often features the classic Grecian draping combined with handcrafted elements, in an innovative fusion. Her specialty is soft flowing dresses, and her work with knitwear and leather has also drawn praise.
Her spring 09 collection is inspired by Ancient Egyptian. It wasn’t exactly the full Tutankhamen deal. Mostly, it was done by allusion: a strong-shouldered jacket, and a color palette that included lapis lazuli and gold. there was a richness in this collection that she hasn’t reached for before. She’s always worked with leather, but this season she upgraded, patch working burnished gold python into boleros and vests. Here are some of my favorite looks that I like to share with you guys.

Hanh and I are going to the luncheon today with a special apperance of designer Zero. I had mentioned it on my previous post. I’ll take some pictures and posted up tonight to share with you guys. Have a nice day everyone !!!! xoxo – Nini Nguyen

I finally had a Saturday off in a while, Hanh and I decided to go to the museum in downtown Dallas. We had so much fun that we never made it inside hihihi
. We hired an amateur photographer to follow us all day to capture these great moments.

Can you tell that both of us had on the YSL patent leather boots? Both of us have the same taste in fashion so a lot of time we end up buying the same things. Beside we love to look alike
that’s a joke….. I can’t live without those YSL boots.
Hanh is wearing Stella McCartney sweater from fall 06, Azzedine Alaia gray skirt, gray Theory turtleneck, Givenchy gold clutch, and scarf from Club Monaco,
I had on Marni gray ruffle tunic from Neiman Marcus, Urban Outfitter Jean, gloves from Intermix, vintage clutch, and Balenciaga jacket.

Hanh and I are going to a luncheon this Thursday that hosted by Pinkmemos – www.pinkmemo.com, with special appearance of Maria Cornejo. The luncheon benefits 2×2 Art and AIDS. Hanh and I are very excited that we get to meet Marria Cornejo in person and have a chance to look at her complete spring 09 collection.
Maria Cornejo Born in Chile but raised in England, Cornejo attended Ravensbourne College of Design. Soon after, she designed the popular Richmond Cornejo line in the eighties with John Richmond and then moved on to French label Tehen in the mid-nineties. In between, she tangoed with her own label but didn’t really get it off the ground until she and photographer husband Mark Borthwick settled in New York in the late nineties. In 2006, Cornejo won the prestigious Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award.
