I just got back from LA and the weather there was quite hot. I brought some of my lightweight long sleeves for night time. Instead, I ended up wearing this same dress for 2 days in a row because I’m in love with it. Judy is a designer in Houston, and a really good friend of Khanh and I. After seeing this dress at the FFAP charity event I just have to have it. Dresses like this are effortless but gives you an edge without trying hard. It’s available to purchase. If you’re interested, please send me or Judy an email at judyang611@hotmail.com.
Wearing: JudYang dress, Ann Demeulemeester booties, Givenchy bag and Super sunnies
Over the knees boots are totally back again this season. Although you see it everywhere, but finding a pair that fit your calves perfectly is not easy. I’m glad that I have one already that I don’t have to be on a lookout for one. Over the knee boots are definitely an item that is worth investing. I wore mine almost everyday last winter and look forward to wearing it with a flirty dress and chunky cardigan this year.
I’m wearing a little vintage black dress from Dolly Python. It’s actually a lingerie piece that I turn it into a dress with bloomers and tank inside. Next time when you are at a vintage store don’t forget to check out their lingerie selection. There are many laces dresses that you can use to layer underneath chunky cardigan for the winter time.
Wearing: OTK boots from Barneys New York, vintage earrings and vintage dress
I just had my hair cut shorter and it’s so much easier to maintenance. ( Does it remind you of Ms. Swan from Mad TV? ) I love her!! I am wearing a tuxedo inspired vintage blouse with tail out to dinner with Loc. It’s Fall, but it is still very hot and humid in Dallas, therefore, I decided on something lightweight and effortless. They are great for seasonal transitions. This blouse is perfect for a night out here in Dallas. I love it because it is effortless with an edgy touch. I got this blouse at Feathers vintage boutique in Austin. Feathers was the highlight of all the stores we explored. Beautiful clothes and have a variety from all different decades. Although, I wish their jewelery selection would be better. If you’re in Austin, it’s definitely a place that you don’t want to miss out.
My favorite wedge booties from Ann Demeulemeester.
Wearing: Vintage belt, clutch and blouse, Ann D’s booties, AA leggings.
The Dallas Fashion’s Night Out was a huge success. There were many of the fashionistas that came out that night. I had such a great time hanging out with friends and my husband. I wore my transparent black cape designed by Khanh Nguyen and I. It’s one the pieces from our Spring 2011 collection that will be debut this October 20 at the Meyerson. There will be many surprises from the collection. We did a shoot for our lookbook yesterday and I”m really impressed with everything. I’m real blessed! Have a fabulous day everyone!! xoxo Nini Nguyen
