Our wedding turned out even more beautifully than we expected. We had about 230 guests in attendance and it was amazing to be able to share our special day with the people who make our lives so special. Thank you so much to our maid of honor, Nha Khanh and all of my bridesmaids for making the magic happen. Without these wonderful ladies I don’t think we could have had such a perfect wedding. I feel like there were angles surrounding us throughout the day because everything ran so smoothly. We’re very blessed!
I changed 4 different times. The first three looks were long in white and the last one was in nude lace, which was my dancing dress. It was a 1950’s dress I bought 3 days before the wedding at Gratitude. Thank goodness for Khanh. She helped me reconstruct the dress. The original dress has 3/4 sleeves and the length was far to long for me. Khanh shaped it for me and removed the sleeves. She’s amazing!!! Not to mention that she did most of the planning and decorations for the wedding. She even did all the bridesmaid bouquets!!!

YEYYYY!! Finally after 10 years

The theme for the wedding was white. In the morning, all my bridesmaids were wearing white aodai ( the Vietnamese traditional gowns ) and they all looked amazing!! The gowns were cut perfectly and everyone looked very fresh and innocent. During the night all of them had on black lace dresses, very glam and sophisticated.

For my hair and make up, I wanted to have the full 1950’s look for night time and I wanted to have the elements of glamour reflect the style of the dress. I have light S shape on the front and red lipstick is just the pop that all of my neutral outfits needed. Nancy Uyen is the make up & hair artist and she’s the best! My 2nd outfit of the night

Remember this portrait that I posted before? and I got a lot of questions about why I share my wedding gowns before my wedding day? In my culture it’s a tradition to have your wedding portraits before the wedding to display at the ceremony.
My maid of honor, Khanh Nguyen also known as Nha Khanh. She was there on my side the entire day and night on my big day.
That’s me in Nha Khanh Black Velvet backless gown

And of course, my wedding can’t go on without my Ducky. He was on the cake table to guard the big bling
So adorable!

Dancing the night away with bestie!

That’s all for now. I’ll keep you guys posted with some more wedding photos. Stay tuned for the 2nd episode. xoxo Nini
