WOW!!! Time sure fly when you are having fun! I cannot believe that it had been one year since I started Nini’s Style with Loc’s suggestion to do so on October 19, 2008. I would like THANK YOU for all of your support with your sweet comments. The blog was started to provide fashion tips to others as that is what I love to do. I could have not imagine the great opportunity to meet so many fabulous blogger friends that I have met over the year because of blogging. I feel that I know each and everyone of you as my closet friend because you and I could understand the universal language, fashion that is
. Not only that, you all inspired me in different ways. You all have truly opened my eyes in the world of fashion and allowed me to have a different perspective of styles/designs. Keep up the good work ladies!!! YOU ALL ROCK!!! It had been a blast for Loc and I for the last year running this blog and we are always looking for ways to make it better. So keep your comments/suggestions/questions coming! The collage below reminded me of how much fun time Loc and I had shooting around in the past year. I hope that you enjoy the photos and the new banner! I wish you and your family a wonderful week ahead.
xoxo Nini Nguyen

Here is the photo shoot that Loc did for me to celebrate Nini’s Style anniversary. Viewing from the past, he had improved tremendously with his camera. THANKS HUN FOR BECOMING MY PHOTOGRAPHER!

I bought this Rick Owens skirt from last fall. This is the second time I wore it again since forever. Every time I went to put this skirt on , I ended it take it back off because I felt like a granny in long silk skirt
For going out, this Balenciaga jacket, and a simple tank is perfect, but for work I still don’t have the appropriate top for it. If you have any advice or suggestion please let me know. Thanks
I had on Rick Owens skirt, Vince tank, Balenciaga jacket and vintage clutch

Look at us goofing around…

Hanh had on Balenciga pink satin dress from Carla Martinengo, legging from V.O.D, Lanvin clutch, and YSL boots.
@ Marquee Circle Event last week.
We finally got to meet Maria Cornejo at luncheon today hosted by V.O.D and pink memo at Craft restaurant in the “W” hotel. Maria is very shy, sweet, and with a very charming personality. Her spring collection is beautiful in person with all of her geometric shapes dresses, and beautiful pattern all gathering together. She’s brilliant!!! We enjoyed the live short fashion show, the foods at craft is average, the only thing is really yummy is the banana cake for dessert. Oh well… fashion is first, food is second.

Me, Maria Cornejo and Hanh

Ladies in black wearing their favorite boots
Hanh is wearing Miu Miu strapless dress, Ann Demeulemeester vest, Givenchy nightingale python mini bag, and YSL boots.
I had on Tao by Comme des Garcons ruffle sweater, Rick Owens slip dress, vintage clutch, and YSL boots.

This is the 2nd time I had worn this sweater since last fall. The sweater is thick and low cut made it hard to suits the weather. It had to be the right temperature to be comfortable in it, and today is perfect.

Beautiful live model at the luncheon.
Hanh and I at Diffa/Dallas Style Council Announcement Event hosted by Modern Luxury Magazine. There were around 350 fabulous looking people that attended. The purpose of this event was to acknowledge everyone about the Diffa/Dallas collection 2009 Utopia in May 2nd. For tickets information, please visit www.diffadallas.org.

Hanh in her gorgeous alpaca fur by Marni, Alaia skirt, Givenchy clutch and Fendi shoes.

I had on Doo.Ri dress, american apparel legging, vintage clutch and Yves Saint Laurent ankle booties.

Wishing everyone a happy holiday – xoxo – Nini Nguyen

Hanh and I got invited to spent sometime at Neiman Marcus today and had an opportunity to meet the creator of the Re’Vive line, Dr. Gregory Bays Brown. He’s a board certified plastic surgeon who has been using Re’Vive on his patients for over 15 years. My perspective of him is similar to my view of Karl Lagerfeld in the fashion industry. He knows how to make women look and feel beautiful and staying young! Dr. Brown is really into fashion and his all time favorite designer is Oscar de la Renta for women and Paul Smith for men. As you can see, Dr. Brown had on a chocolate brown Paul Smith suit and Gucci suede shoes Also, he hinted to me that his favorite place to shop is Barneys New York.
And both of us had such a great time with him at the luncheon. For more information on Revive products please visit www.reviveskincare.com.

I had on John Paul Gaultier jacket, Theory turtle-neck, F21 legging, vintage clutch and Marni shoes.

Hanh had on David Szeto skirt worn as a dress, club monaco turtle-neck, Fendi shoes and Valentino python belt.
