Dear Readers,
I am having a bit of a fashion emergency. I can’t believe this is happening to me and I need your help and suggestions!
I wore my Fendi green leather high-waisted skirt out with friends a couple of weeks ago and got alcohol stains all over it. People were just knocking their drinks left and right and I ended up with some spots on my skirt.
I thought it was no big deal, so I waited until now to bring my skirt to my cleaners. But since the skirt is green, cleaners are hesitant to clean it in fear that the color will run. The leather is from Italy and was specially dyed and cured for Fendi’s workshops. Italian leather is known for its quality and no one wants to process the leather using any chemicals or cleaning solutions because of the risks involved.
In the end, once they realized they were dealing with alcohol stains, they refused to clean my skirt. They said if they clean it, the process will ruin the softness of the leather. They suggested sending the skirt back to Fendi. I called Fendi, and they said there is nothing they can do about it.
At this point, I’m clueless: I don’t know what to do! The skirt is gorgeous and I just hate looking at it with all the stains on it. If you have any suggestion please HELP!

We all have our own journals of our lives with what we do everyday. I’m about to walk into a big journal of mine. I mentioned on my previous post that I’m going back to my country for a visit. I’m super excited and anxious at the same time. The last time I was there was 13 years ago, and this is my first time back to visit my family, friends, and, most importantly, to experience something that’s very close to me in my heart, yet very far away from me. I remember my past life there and my family and friends, yet I have not seen any photographs of any of these since I left 13 years ago, so everything is just in my memory. I can’t wait to see everything and everybody again. I’m sure everything has changed since the last time I was there.
I’m planning to take lots of photos on my journey.
I feel like you all,as my readers, are very close to me, as well, and I would like to stay connected with you while I’m there. I will be updating my blog while I’m in Vietnam so check back with me to see what’s going on with me in Vietnam. I need to get some sleep now for an early fly tomorrow. Have a beautiful day to you all! xoxo Nini Nguyen

Dear Readers,
I want to thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your comments. I always read all of them and they mean so much to me. Lately, there has been a slowdown in posts and on that note, I’d like to write to you about some changes that are going to be taking place here at Nini’s Style. In the next couple of months, I will be extremely busy planning the wedding and I can’t wait to share the experience with you all. Unfortunately, this will mean that I will not have as much time to devote to the blog.
To help me keep the blog going, I have invited my friend Natalya Dreyzner to help with a couple of posts a week. Natalya lives and works in New York City so I am excited to have her on board in time for fashion week. She is still working out whether or not we can tell you what company she works for because she works in the fashion industry and we want to avoid any conflict of interest. What we can tell you is that she is a busy little bee preparing for fashion week in the tents…
Basically, her joining the blog was a result of the many conversations we had about other blogs and fashion trends. Often we talked about how to better communicate with our (amazing) readers. We realized that making this blog more of a two-way conversation might simply mean posting more about the trends and blogs we were noticing. For example, one of our FAVORITE blogs, LUXIRARE, has a great way of communicating with her readers and that creates a real closeness in the internet community. I think we would all benefit from more of a dialogue than a lecture. What do you all think?
Something I always find interesting about my conversations with Natalya is her constant search for new, interesting blogs to read. After talking to her about blogs once, I realized that she could make a great top ten list. There are so many fantastic blogs out there, so many creative fashionistas! I can’t wait to see who makes the list. She is planning to make a weekly top ten and will post an email address where you can send your suggestions to blogs you like.

Thanks for reading Nini’s Style and check back soon for the first TopTen! xoxo Nini Nguyen
Hi everyone-
I hope the New Year brought you all the happiness and everything that you have deserved. As you all know that Loc and I are getting marry soon. I’m working with a brilliant fashion designer based in Dallas to help me with my gown. It’s long sleeves with thumb holes, deep backless with raw edges around the neckline, and all over the back. It’s stunning and I can’t wait to share with you all the final product. Have a beautiful day and I’ll keep you all posted on the wedding project. xoxo Nini Nguyen
