Over The Knee Boots
I have had my eyes on these boots ever since they arrived at Barneys. I didn’t want to buy them right away because I knew that I was going to NY and I thought that I might find something better there. Over the knee boots were
all over the runway for Fall, but I didn’t see much of them in the stores yet when I visited NYC. I fell in love with these boots because of their masculine feel that still has a sexy side. Because that is Nini’s style 
. The heel is average so I can wear these shoes everyday and most importantly the boots are within my budget.
I can see myself wearing them casually with jeans and a heavy cashmere sweater or dressing them up with a mini dress and adding my transparent Dolce Jacket to complete the look. People are always asking me how I afford my wardrobe and the answer is smart shopping and fashionista planning. When I find a good deal, I stick with it! I love things that are versatile so I can wear them all the time and get my money’s worth! Wouldn’t you ?

wow! I love the whole silhouette so much! This Junya dress reminds me 1 of his black asymmetrical cape in this season, I think it works on you and you can carry it very well. Oh yea very interesting contrast between you and the backdrop by the way

Damn, Nini…you completely astound me again. I agree that these boots have a slightly masculine vibe, but I think that’s what’s so great about them. Over-the-knee boots have too long been associated with strippers and ‘ladies of the night’, it is pairs that are not too ‘sleek’ that really tend to work well. Love the outfit that you worked it with too, very tough chic and yet sexy at the same time!

I fell in love with those boots every since they first arrived at Barney’s and so did all the sales asssociates. I hesistated too wanting to see the other options..but I’ve yet to find any that compare. They look fab and seeing that Jane and Judy has them also, I’m sure they’ll be one of the boots of the season. Moving the total look., however.

Those boots look amazing on you. I need to get myself a pair for fall since they so hot this year. I saw a pairs of Lanvin over the knee boots yesterday at Barneys but it was like $2,500.

Wow Nini those are some amazing boots and I love the subtle drapes on your dress! I always keep your tips in mind when shopping, now I try to be more of a rational shopper (I think of how many times I can wear it/ how many items in my closet will compliment it) than an impulse buyer.. but it’s fun to shop on impulse sometimes hehe..=)

Wow, what a major shoes, I have a pair of over knee boots since last season, suede black, I don’t think I will get more of those as where I live you could walk all winter in uncle boots rather than over knee ones:) Anyway, I hope I made it clear Nini: your shoes are amazing!!!:)

That’s one of the things I love so much about your blog, Nini, and about you: you know your style. I was wondering, too, how you can wear such expensive pieces but I can see you’re so practical and focused in how you approach fashion.
I did have a pair of thigh high black boots, for years.. I think about them often. They are no longer with me, alas. They were made of a kind of stretchy suede synthetic, and, unlike your lovely leather ones which I know you will care for and will live forever, they are sadly not of this world any longer. I don’t know if I’ll ever find another pair to replace them, they were so me: kind of slouchy, they’d often fall down & I’d have to pull them up like baggy stockings. Sorry to go on so long (maybe I’ll reach the 5000 mark in sheer VOLUME) but I do miss them! Perhaps they’ll come back reincarnated: It worked for our cat!
Can I offer a tip to anyone who hasn’t yet found THEIR perfect pair?

Over the knee boots are THE biggest trend for this fall season. NiNi you were able to get a great pair with some interesting details. Also it doesn’t look trashy at all.. Even though the shirt/dress is short and you can see the top. I may have to take the plunge this season.
