Everyone seems to be into exotic prints this fall and that includes me. Leopard, cheetah and tiger prints are so popular right now and that seems to be the trend of exotic prints: they come and go away and then they come back again. This has been going on for decades…just look at the animal prints in older decades like the 60’s or 70’s. This fall leopard, cheetah and tiger are definitely a big hit. For my personal taste I prefer vintage exotic prints clothing and accessories. Vintage is great because I can save money while wearing one-of-a-kind pieces.
Animal prints can be a fashion disaster if you don’t wear them right. When you wear animal prints keep the outfit as simple as possible. If you have on a leopard print coat, let the coat be the statement piece and keep the rest of your outfit clean and sleek. I recommend black because the print usually has that tone included in it. You don’t want
to go overboard with leopard prints.
Among all of the exotic prints, tiger print is my favorite. I was born in the year of the tiger so anything that has a touch of tiger, I just love. I’m wearing a tiger print scarf. I like the scarf to be exotic and to have lots of movement. I went to the fabric store today and bought 4 yards of fabric and turned it into this scarf. You can do the same too! Let all the edges be raw to have a street inspired look. (Plus, a LOT of Lanvin edges are raw too!) Chiffon and silk are your best choices for scarves because both fabrics are light lightweight and will give you a nice drape. The scarf I have on is Chiffon and it cost me $20.00. Shop smart, dress well!.

Wearing: 4 yards of fabric used as a scarf, J-brand jean, Theory blouse, YSL tribute pumps, Super sunnies and Givenchy bag.
NINITIPS: Wearing prints correctly has a lot to do with your comfort and confidence. Prints are a great way to change things up a bit so don’t be afraid to experiment. Just remember: you are wearing the tiger, the tiger should not be wearing you! Have fun with exotic prints and keep it glam!!!!
Hi everyone -
Thanks all very much for all the beautiful wishes for Nini’s Style 1 year anniversary. I read every comment and feel very grateful to have such wonderful readers. Are you guys ready for Halloween??? I don’t celebrate Halloween because I don’t like it much, but I’m so ready for the holiday season to be here. I can’t wait to wear more faux fur when the weather gets colder for the holiday season. It doesn’t matter what you wear , you can always throw on a piece of fur and it instant uplift your look right away. I love to shop for vintage faux fur at Salvation Army or Ebay for the best price. I’m on a hunt for a faux fur jacket that hit around my knee to wear with jeans and tee shirt.
Loc is testing out new technique but the sun set sooner than we thought and couldn’t achieve what we planned to do. Oh well, better luck next time… I hope you all having a nice weekend!!! xoxo Nini

Wearing: MMM skirt worn as dress, ABS faux fur, Barneys New York gloves and boots, Fallon collar necklace.
NiniTips: Who wants to buy another black dress if you have 6 of them sitting around in your closet, right??? It’s time to get that old black dress out again and freshen it up with some different accessories. I love a simple black dress with an oversize necklace, sheer black tights, a pair of black sexy pumps, and throw on your favorite piece of fur and call it a night.
WOW!!! Time sure fly when you are having fun! I cannot believe that it had been one year since I started Nini’s Style with Loc’s suggestion to do so on October 19, 2008. I would like THANK YOU for all of your support with your sweet comments. The blog was started to provide fashion tips to others as that is what I love to do. I could have not imagine the great opportunity to meet so many fabulous blogger friends that I have met over the year because of blogging. I feel that I know each and everyone of you as my closet friend because you and I could understand the universal language, fashion that is
. Not only that, you all inspired me in different ways. You all have truly opened my eyes in the world of fashion and allowed me to have a different perspective of styles/designs. Keep up the good work ladies!!! YOU ALL ROCK!!! It had been a blast for Loc and I for the last year running this blog and we are always looking for ways to make it better. So keep your comments/suggestions/questions coming! The collage below reminded me of how much fun time Loc and I had shooting around in the past year. I hope that you enjoy the photos and the new banner! I wish you and your family a wonderful week ahead.

Here is the photo shoot that Loc did for me to celebrate Nini’s Style anniversary. Viewing from the past, he had improved tremendously with his camera. THANKS HUN FOR BECOMING MY PHOTOGRAPHER!

Wearing: vintage Azzedine Alaia dress, vintage faux fur, earrings, and clutch, YSL tribute pumps and Wolford dotted tights.
Yes, yes, yes, I been crazy over my long leather gloves that I have been mixing it just about everything that I had worn. I’m wearing my vintage YSL blouse that I got not too long ago. As I mention before that I love silk transparent blouse because it’s created an illusion of a sexy feeling yet sophisticated. I think that every girl should have it in her closet. I was dressing in a hurry and walked out the house without closing the neck button on my blouse
bad bad bad girl Nini.
I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy the photos. xoxoxo Nini Nguyen
