Happy anniversary Nini, one year seems like such a long time. I really enjoyed looking back at the collage of the old pictures, and how Loc’s photography has progressed. The last two images of the sidewalk in particular are exquisite, and I love how the white stripe down the middle of your outfit really elongates your figure.

Happy 1st blogaversary, Nini! You know how they have those list of “gifts” for wedding anniversaries, we should have one for bloggers too! And inspired with this post, maybe the 1st is Alaia!! Everyone celebrating their 1st blogaversary should buy themselves an Alaia!!

Love this dress on you! I went to the Alaia stock shop in Paris last week and sadly, I couldn’t afford any of the dresses, even from past season! But I’ll save up for it… so I could buy one for my 1st blogaversary too!

The shoot was done in 30 minutes during daytime. The shots look like night shot with flash is because I adjust the camera not to let too much light in and adjust the flash more powerful than natural light. Let me know if you need help with camera setting and such.

Wow, Nini, CONGRATULATIONS to you & to Loc! It’s funny, to me I can’t believe you’re only one year old: that means when I discovered you, you were only like 7 months?? You have such a large following & it’s clearly that because you’re not only beautiful, and stylish, and I agree, Loc’s photos are just getting so good that I can’t imagine him getting any better, and yet, he continues to. It’s not just all those things: it’s your generous spirit.

Your posts aren’t just showing off and creating envy, the way some other bloggers who do a similar thing do (there’s no word for it, like there is for ‘street style’ – it’s like ‘self style’). You post ideas that teach us, inspire us, and we then take an adapt to our own style. And more than that: if I can feel like we’re friends, I can’t imagine how many other people must feel the same way.

We must get you two to London someday soon- I’d love to do a photo shoot!

Anyway, sorry to go on gushing but I’m really moved that you’ve just had your one year birthday. I didn’t know that it was Loc that suggested it, my husband (‘Mr. Dot’) suggested it to me, too.

Oh by the way: I think this might be the most beautiful series of shots I’ve seen – even in Vogue. Those last three shots, the texture and composition and setting: it’s sophisticated beyond words.
