Áo Dài
March 11th, 2010
I’m wearing a Vietnamese traditional gown called Ao Dai. It’s form fitted and worn over silk wide leg pant. The Ao Dai emphasizes a lady figure. People in Vietnam wear The Ao Dai everywhere, but here in the America you only seen them on special occasion such as wedding and church. I bought this beautiful Ao Dai while I was in Vietnam. Loc and I both fell in love with it and will turn it to be my wedding gown. Have a fabulous day everyone !! xoxo Nini Nguyen

Ni, you’re becoming more and more beautiful!
I’m sure you will be the most beautiful bride ever.
I can’t wait for the BIG wedding day.
COngrats to you and Loc.
it’s really beautiful nini. i’m having the hardest time trying to think up an ao dai that’s not so traditional (no dragons, no excessive glitter) but also not too trendy like major ruffles or one-shoulders. any tips?
You two are so adorable, I want to cry! You look stunning, and it’s so nice to hear and see you so happY!

Stunning! My future sis-in-law is Vietnamese so wore two elaborate Áo Dàis for her engagement party, and will wear another one for her wedding on May 1st, she wanted to have one made for me, but since I didn’t know what size I’ll be by then, we didn’t get to You will surely make a gorgeous bride 😉

That is an amazing ao dai!
Are you planning to have a traditional Vietnamese wedding? If so, would you wear a red ao dai?
@Eileen
Hi Eileen-
I’ll be wearing white Ao Dai on my wedding day but we will have a regular wedding no red dress.
Have a nice day! Nini
@MizzJ
Yes MizzJ! The big day will be in August
@daphne
Thanks sweetie you’re so sweet!
thanks for posting more about your ao dai! I love seeing new, modern ao dai without all the other gaudy trendy stuff. its hard to find one that’s as fresh as this one! I’m also looking for tips like Vyvian, I’ve searched online and nothing compares quite like this one.
