It seems like all these excessive and borderline ridiculous photo shoots are taking away from your wedding. You’re not even married yet, and you have a million “wedding photos”. They’re basically meaningless since you have not said your vows! Your wedding is 3 months away, and you’re prancing around town in all these wedding gowns and tuxes for some silly photos?! When did weddings become a glorified photoshoot?? Isn’t it a the sweet & journalistic pictures the ones that people treasure most? Yours are all fake and posed.
I completely disagree with ‘Honey’. These pictures are sweet and romantic, a quality that doesn’t always shine through in candids. Plus, you always need pictures BEFORE the wedding to display at the wedding for the guests. And when wasn’t a wedding a glorified photoshoot? If it wasn’t, we wouldn’t even need to celebrate it! It’s wonderful that Nini and Loc will have these beautiful pictures to look back on for years to come. Your wedding day is the one day every woman can be a princess, and Nini surely looks like a queen in these beautiful photographs.
Wow, can’t say I agree AT ALL with Honey. Those photos are beautiful. The back of that dress is also fantastic, and I love that you seem to have used your own home and grounds as the backdrop (or if not yours, then at least something home-y feeling). You are only getting married once – if you want to take as many photos as humanly possible, then do it!
It’s UNREAL how amazing these are! The above comment is ridiculous! You two know if you’re in love, whether you take a million photos or none won’t change that, so you should have as much fun with the wedding as you’d like!! These are photos that you’ll treasure for the rest of your lives. They’re romantic, and beautiful, and fresh, and individual. You look like a swan. And Loc looks so in love with you. His shoes are great too, by the way.
I hope my wedding and photos are half as spectacular, yet sweet.
xoxo
I completely agree with Honey. I’m sorry, but these photos are not classy nor candid whatsoever. You guys don’t really seem like you’re in love at all, and Nini, you don’t really seem to be in love with your fiance…but maybe more with his security?
Wow what is up with the harsh comments people? Don’t we ever learn not to judge others? I only know Nini via her blog and she and Loc have been together for YEARS. I think these photos show their playful side and you can tell from the way Loc photographs Nini that he thinks she is beautiful and that he loves her.
these photos put a huge smile on my face. to be honest, this is the 1st time i’m seeing wedding photos that look so so sweet and lovely. it doesn’t look made-up and posing-guided-like (if that makes sense). can’t wait to have my own wedding photo shoot ^__^
Just out of interest, not to bitchy, but why are you having all of these wedding photos done before the actual wedding? Isn’t it bad luck for the groom to see the dress before the big day?? Although I’ll bet you have more than one dress!!
I am crazy about the dress that is open in the back and then closed in the front! Very fabulous! I think the meditating one is so cute. 7 & 8 are also my favorites.
WOW! the pictures are soooo lovely, so full of love and trust! and you look gorgeous in the dress! i like the yoga picture very much. the pictures show that you have great fun together
I rarely comments on Nini’s blog but I have to this time.
@Honey and Christine: You need to go read the “About Me” page first before making such comments. They known each other for 9 years already! I am Vietnamese and it’s a tradition to have your wedding portraits before the wedding to display at the ceremony. They rarely do engagement session like Americans do. You guys needs to understand others’ culture first and don’t expect everybody is the same as you. Of course, there will be candid photos during the ceremony. Also, no such thing as bad luck for the groom to see the bride’s dress. Sometime they go pick out the dress together. Your comments show how ignorant you are within your close minded brain.
I also never comment on blogs but I also had to just like Tina. I just wanted to let you know that your photos are BEAUTIFUL! I love your different dresses, hair, make-up and everything else about the photos. They’re fun and classy at the same time! Your fiance also looks adoorable! Again, great photos!!
Honey/ Christine (who might even be the same people) need to stop being a freaking haters. If you don’t like her blog, style or pictures dont comment on it. Go and focus on your own relationship.
We the readers of her blog, LOVE the pictures, they are beautiful, and they look happy and we wish them the best. Maybe you should try doing the same, that putting out so much negativity and hatred on here. jealously is not a good look.
It looks like a magazine shoot. and it’s gorgeous. every couple is entitled to do whatever they want.
hello, first of all I absolutely love your blog, pictures, clothes, styles and pretty much everything. I also wanted to comment on the wedding dresses i love them all think they are wonderful, but I am expecting a stunning new never before seen dress in your blog for your wedding. hope that like the fashionista that you are and portray you have something up your sleeve a more traditional wedding gown with that nini spin to it. Dont listen to Honey or Christine I believe they are haters and didnt find a Loc like you did!!!
You are very lucky to have such beautiful wedding pictures. Those memories are so precious, I wish you both the best! Oh! And your dress is to die for!!!!
I am an avid fan of Nini’s blog however I never post but felt compelled. First of all the photos are GORGEOUS as always.
Second, Christine you have some nerve to make accusations about her relationship. She has stated several times that they have been together 10 years and she never reveals too much about her personal life. She keeps the focus on fashion and the comments on her blog should really reflect that. I get so tired of bitter haters attacking fashion blogs with their instability and insecurities.
Nini, you and Loc look amazing! I love how you go a different route with your photos. Please nevermind the mindless comments, they really just don’t understand differences in culture, class, and creativity. I love your vision, keeping me inspired!
You know what reeks of insecurity? People who feel compelled to anonymously attack other people online based on nothing more than their own ignorance and bigotry. I *almost* feel bad for ppl like that — the ugliness that must reside in their heads and their hearts. Must be quite a dismal existence indeed.
Nini, you and Loc make a wonderful couple. I adore your ao dai’s! They’re absolutely lovely — a nod to the traditional while still expressing your particular sense of style.
A big congrats on your upcoming nuptials. Tram nam hanh phuc!
I think it’s awesome that your fiance is someone who you can also have fun creatively expressing yourself with! So many aren’t as lucky as you to have that kind of relationship with someone. Don’t pay attention to the stupid comments!
I like that he’s using a macbook. lol.
Also, regarding taking pictures before your wedding. In Vietnamese culture, it is not considered bad luck to take wedding pictures in your dress prior to the wedding. And also, that’s just all superstition anyway. If you’re gonna invest your money and time in looking for a beautiful dress, why not take the time to take pictures in it!
You guys look great Nini. Keep posting the pictures please. =)
I think it’s wonderful that you are posting these pictures. They look gorgeous and I absolutely love the picture showing your back and Loc’s front. Congrats on your impending nuptuals. I am getting married in June so these pics game me inspiration!
That second dress is fantastic! Are any of these the one you’re using for your big day? How come you have different ones on by the way? General curiousity since I’ve not seen that done before. Anyone can answer in case that’s common in the US or anywhere else.
Wow you look gorgeous in those photos. And to the people who have hateful comments to say…the comments you posted just reek of jealousy. Why is that? Is it because you’re broke and probably can’t afford a shred of anything she owns, or the fact that she has been with this man for years and you can’t get a guy to look at you twice without running for the hills? Either way stop hating on her situation financial or otherwise. Get yourself together finacially and physically and MAYBE you’ll be able to afford what she wears and get a sweetheart of a man like she does! Broke ass broads always have something negative to say

It’s funny how people judge others based only on some pics. Everyone has the right to do with his life what he wants.
I love seventh photo!

Hi Nini,
You look stunning in these set of photos, especially loving the low back details of your gown. Congrats! xoxo

Omgosh, I love these portraits, especially the meditation photo. Anyways, Congrats!
I love that you have, like, 17 different wedding dresses at your disposal, and there’s a different “look” for all of them.
Get it, girl!

You look great Nini. I love the backless dress and the meditation photo is clever.
