Paris Flea Markets
One of my favorite things to do in Paris is go to the flea market. There is just no better place in Paris to shop for real vintage clothing and jewelry. There are so many markets that would take me weeks to go to all of them.
They are only open on Saturdays and Sundays. If you’re lucky, some will be open for a half day on Monday. If you can take a cab there, do it. It will save you the headache of getting lost. Keep in mind that a lot of the antique shops and shops that carry vintage clothing and vintage jewelry are situated on the inside of the streets rather than facing the big roads.
One of my favorite shops to search for vintage jewelry is called Au Grenier De Lucie. The owner Heidi is so lovely and will work with you on the prices. She is located at Vernaison market, alle 1 stand 25.
When you come to the flea market be sure to dress down. Dressing comfortably is key because there will be a lot of walking. I have on Lululemon shorts, a white long sleeve T and a bright scarf. And another super important tip: I am always sure to wear a little extra sun block.
Everything at the flea market is negotiable in terms of price. Be sure to know what brands you are looking for. Do some research to avoid getting fakes and have a price in mind when you want something. If negotiating doesn’t work out on one particular item, just walk away because you will always find something else. For example: the vendor selling my vintage Christian Lacroix earrings was asking for 295 euros. I had to have them so I bargained and I ended up paying 200 euros for them.
Also there are tents set up outside that sell all the fun jewelry for 10-50 euros. You will find all kind of treasures at the Les Puces de Saint-Ouen flea market. And make sure to keep a firm hold on your wallet because there are a lot of pick pockets around the flea market. Take as little as possible with you. All you need is some cash and your credit card. Leave the passport at your hotel because you won’t need it out here
Vintage Chanel heaven for me. I want to be in that case
Cherry tomatoes earrings
Yes, yes, yes and YES. Be ready because the price is really high out here. All the expensive bags are located in Serpette market to the right
To the flea market wearing: Madewell t’s, Lululemon shorts, Hermes Collier de Chien violet cuff, Nike running shoes, Hermes scarf, Super sunnies
I think I would be more enthused about all the chandeliers!
Wonderful post! Thank you for the advice

I’m so glad you are enjoying Paris. This is such a great post. I’ve been to a few of the markets and there are such amazing finds.
God. That’s way cooler than Strasbourg’s fleamarkets! Such great treasures… Beautiful.
You have the skill of fitting perfectly in every place that you visit!
Very nice pictures!
Thanks for this awesome post. I’m heading there in a few weeks and really appreciated the tips. I think it’s going to be an expensive trip to the market. Initially was dreaming of some vintage designer jewellery but I think I’ll be happy to find some unique pieces of jewellery that won’t break the bank!
