Lately, I have been wearing a lot of loose blazers over fitted dresses, jeans, and shorts. Sometimes I get lazy about dressing up and the boyfriend blazer over a fitted dress is a great go-to outfit for me.
This look appears effortless but it remains structured. The strong lines of the blazer can help an outfit transition easily from day to night because it adds a touch of severity to other more casual items.
I wear a lot of black but a true, deep shade of purple is my all time favorite color. Sometimes finding the right style in your favorite color can be difficult. To me the cut and the color of an article of clothing are both equally important. I wouldn’t buy a beautiful top if the color didn’t compliment my complexion. At the same time, I also wouldn’t buy an item that was made in a beautiful color if the cut wasn’t right for me. Do some research about your complexion and what colors fit you best. Â My skin has olive green undertones so any intense colors and rich colors, like black, navy blue, red, and hot pink look great on my complexion.
Wearing: vintage boyfriend blazer and clutch, J-brand jean, AA white tee, and Fendi shoes.
NiniTip: To keep the outfit balanced, always try to keep the rest of your outfit clean when you add a loose blazer. Wear it with a fitted dress underneath that has a fun pattern. For fall, try a black sequin legging and turtle neck to move into the colder weather.
