I love this high-waisted pair of pants that I found at Forever 21 a long time ago. I think that I got them about 3-4 years ago…this was one of those items that you come upon after looking through the whole store. I haven’t been to Forever 21 for a long time but what drew me to this particular pair of pants is the quality. I love how dramatic wide-legged pants are and I would love to have a few more pairs in different colors for the Fall season.
My hair is getting longer and longer each day and I’m just so excited. I’m planning to grow it back out. In fact, I’m going to go the opposite direction of the pixie cut. I’m going to try to grow it as long as possible and I’m aiming at just above the waist. I have been wearing my hot pink lipstick by Nars called Schiap nonstop. The color lasts for so long! And my favorite part is that it brightens up your whole face. This is so useful for me when I don’t wear a lot of eye make-up. I also love that it has a matt finish to it. Have a great Labor day weekend everyone! Have fun and be safe xoxo Nini
Hi everyone~ hope everyone is having a fabulous week thus far. I’m starting to get extra excited for the Fall season because the August deliveries have hit stores and they’re full of transitional goodies for those few months between a hot summer and a cool fall. I stopped by H&M last week and picked up a few things for the transitional period and this peplum jacket is one of the new additions to my closet.
Right now I’m just in love with the peplum. Also, this jacket really reminds me of a Thierry Mugler piece. I paired it with a pair of simple shorts but this jacket would be awesome worn with skinny jeans or leather leggings. Have a great day everyone! Xx Nini

I posted a photo of homemade Cafe Sua Da (Vietnamese iced coffee) on Instagram a couple weeks ago and had some requests for the recipe. This is the drink that Loc, my little brother and I drink all the time. Loc probably has about 3-4 cups a day. He can’t function without it. They’re super easy to make, don’t cost much and the taste is delicious.
Condensed Milk (this is usually sweet so you don’t need sugar)
Ground coffee (The one we use at home is Cafe Du Monde)
Hot water
Ice
Instructions: Everyone’s taste in coffee is different. Make your cafe sue da however you like your coffee: some like it bitter and some will like it more sweet. Add one extra teaspoon of ground coffee if you like to have it strong and add extra condensed milk to lighten or sweeten it.
1. Bring one cup of hot water to a boil.
2. Put 2 full teaspoon of sweetened condensed milk into your favorite glass so it pools at the bottom.
3. Remove the top screen from the coffee filter. Put two teaspoons of ground coffee in the filter and screw the screen back on, compacting the ground coffee. Then place the filter on top of the glass with the sweetened condensed milk.
4. Pour just enough hot water to cover the grounds into the phin and let it drip into the glass on top of the condensed milk. Let it sit until all the dripping has stopped. I always wait for the hot water to come down and then I pour a little extra water on the coffee phin because I don’t like my coffee too strong.
5. Stir it up and put crushed ice in the glass. Enjoy your cool coffee on a hot summer day!
** In the morning, If you like to drink your coffee hot, you can use the same recipe without ice. Enjoy and have a lovely Sunday! xo Nini
This is what I wore out to a casual dinner with Loc to celebrated our 2 years wedding anniversary. I didn’t always love wearing jeans but with all of your kind comments and encouragement I’ve been wearing jeans more and more often. Over the past couple of years, designers have been producing them in softer materials, adding more stretch and they just don’t feel as harsh on the skin anymore. I love that you always can throw on a pair of jeans, a fun blouse and then easily complete the look with some fabulous pumps. Have a fabulous weekend everyone! xo Nini
