Squirrel Print Collar Dress

July 26th, 2012 18 comments

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. In my last few posts I have been experimenting with curly hair and I’ve been really happy with the results. Thank you for all the compliments on the blog and on Instagram. My readers are the best and I always appreciate your kind words.

I have had the pixie hairstyle for over a year now and I have really enjoyed it. But I love this length too: now that the pixie cut has grown a little longer, I can curl it up for a change. This curly hairstyle only takes me 5 minutes to do with a flat iron and some hair spray. Loc and my little brother both said that I look really girly with this hairstyle but I guess it’s not a bad thing 🙂 Have a wonderful day everyone!! And don’t forget to check out my latest picks on NINI SHOP. xo Nini

Sweat Shirt

Who says you can’t wear a sweatshirt to dinner? It used to be that you could only wear a sweatshirt for working out or at home but these days tons of designers are producing highly designed and tailored items that still have the look and feel of a sweatshirt….perfect for a cool summer night out.

You can wear sweatshirts anytime of the day: it just depends on how you style them. I wouldn’t wear it to a fancy diner but for an outdoor patio meet up with friends or an evening date for a drinks, a sweatshirt would be more than appropriate.

I wore this look out to dinner with my friend and I felt great in it. The dress code was casual but bordering on dressy and this look still worked. I recommend this look for someone that wants to feel a little sexy. For someone that likes to dress a little more conservatively but enjoys this trend can always can pair this sweatshirt with a some white jeans and fabulous strappy heels and it will be equally as good. I’m a huge fan of mixing high/low items and casual/dressy items and I’m having fun experimenting. I hope you all enjoy this trend and thank you so much for reading my blog. xo Nini

Silver dress

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all doing well. I’m wearing one of my new favorite dresses from ASOS. I saw this dress on the ASOS website and had to have it. The first thing that jumped out at me was the shape of this dress. I think that the fit is magnificent and I have to say, it reminds me of ALAIA. Although this shape and this length are not the ones that I normally gravitate towards, I wanted to try something new. I’m glad I did because this dress is just phenomenal.

The silver metallic hue helps brighten up your face and I could not help thinking about how much fun this dress would be as a bridesmaid’s outfit. Although I’m excited to wear it to dinner now or I’m really excited to wear it with black tights and booties into fall.

I really want to say thank you to my readers. Thanks for your love and support! I’ll try to add new items on the NINI SHOP daily. Please check back more often to find out what will be the next must have for every woman’s closet. Have a lovely Sunday everyone! xo Nini

Trying out new hairstyle. I curled up my bangs for a change.

PRINTS ON PRINTS

July 16th, 2012 22 comments

Wearing two floral prints or a floral print over another, different print can be a little tricky. When I’m mixing these prints together, I try to concentrate on proportions. If the proportion is off, it can cut your body at an odd angle.

I love this trend because it’s festive and a great way to challenge yourself creatively. For someone who is new to wearing prints, you always can start out with a floral top paired with a pair of solid colored or denim skinny jeans, a fabulous clutch and heels for a lunch or dinner date. When you feel more comfortable with prints, try a print-on-print outfit.

To me, no outfit can be complete without a positive attitude and a strong sense of confidence. If you think you look great, you will look great. I can only give you the advice that works for me: if you don’t feel great in what you are wearing then change into something that you’ll feel more comfortable in! Fashion is all about being comfortable in your own skin and using clothes to express yourself. I always try to remember to wear my clothes and never let them wear me. Have a great Monday filled with sunshine everyone!! xo Nini
