I had been under the weather for the last couple of days. It was bad but nice at the same time because I had sometime to catch up with listing many great items for Timeless CHIC.
Pearls are my birthstone and velvet is a direct translation of my Vietnamese name, Nhung. Thus, naturally why I love the combination of pearls and velvet together so much. When I saw this Alexander Wang jacket at Neiman Marcus Last Call, I knew it for meant for me. I got it for like 90% off :-). It’s my new obsession. I love dressing it casually with jeans and tee’s. I’m planning to dress it up with dresses and heels to an upcoming event as well.

I was going through my photos and found this set from Cabo. Loc did a great job with the photos that I just have to share them. I have been obsessed with fitness lately. I always thought that I would never need to work out because most people say that I am skinny and ask me why I would need to work out. I was advised by a dear friend of mine that fitness is not just about the exterior that we gain from it but above all is for a healthy mind and heart. I decided to listen to her because she and her husband is the living proof. Not only they look amazing for their age (you can’t guess their age), but their heart and mind is always positive toward life and others. Only after a couple of months of working out, I can tell you that it definitely keeps you fresh and have a positive way of thinking at all time. It also helps with reducing stress and sleeping better, which results in more energy for the day. Thus, I have decided to take a step further by going with a trainer to improve my current level. I’m looking forward to gain a few pounds of muscle here and there in the next few months. Wish me luck! I love love love this vintage jumpsuit that I got a while back at a local vintage boutique in Dallas and they recently closed out for business, so sad :-(. My wardrobe consist of many designers pre-owned items that I do not spend full price on, especially in this economic condition. Though, I do purchase timeless items that will enhance my look with other pieces. My goal for Fall is to look for more unique vintage pieces that I can mix back with my wardrobe to make it more fun and interesting without costing me a fortune. I haven’t got a chance to go back to some of the timeless pieces that I love, thanks to my beloved reader, Monica, reminding me that I should sharing with you more in ways of mixing low and high end.
