This is what I wore out to  lunch with Loc for a casual date to celebrate my birthday. It’s like 100F outside, which is boiling! Happy early summer everyone! With this kind of weather it is very hard to dress up in a big circle skirt or a big shouldered vintage jacket.

I decided to be comfortable and chic for lunch in my black shorts, basic white tee, and I threw on some fabulous shoes. I’m wearing my new favorite Fendi platforms. Fendi has been my favorite company to buy shoes from for the last three seasons. As high as these shoes seem to be, they are very comfortable. Loc loves them. He thinks they’re  sexy 😉

NiniTip: The Heat:  Especially with the hot weather right now, I’m sure no one is in the mood to dress up for a lunch date. But you always can look effortless and chic even on a hot day. Simplicity is chic and in this heat, comfort is KEY. I like to use a pair of statement shoes with some light and easy basics to ease the burden of this awful heat! Put on your printed tee-shirt dress, or shorts with  with a see through tee, then throw on some some statement shoes, minimal make up and you’re set to go. What do you guys like to wear in the heat? Hi everyone- I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend.

Thank you  for your help and suggestions on the Fend skirt dilemma. I’ll try to call Fend again and this time I will try a different location. Otherwise I’ll send it out to Madame Paulette to get it cleaned. I’ll keep you guys posted.

I’m just SO happy to receive an early birthday present from Loc. He got me the Ann Demeulemeester wedge booties that I’ve been wanting. He’s such a sweetheart. Thanks hun!!!

I love the versatility of these chic little booties! I’ve always been a fan of the mix of masculinity and femininity and this is a perfect example of an item that embodies these qualities. The best part is how comfortable they are.  I can dress them up with a fitted dress and sheer tights for dinner or I can play it casual with bloomers and tees.

I am having a bit of a fashion emergency. I can’t believe this is happening to me and I need your help and suggestions!
I wore my Fendi green leather high-waisted skirt out with friends a couple of weeks ago and got alcohol stains all over it. People were just knocking their drinks left and right and I ended up with some spots on my skirt.
I thought it was no big deal, so I waited until now to bring my skirt to my cleaners. But since the skirt is green, cleaners are hesitant to clean it in fear that the color will run. The leather is from Italy and was specially dyed and cured for Fendi’s workshops. Italian leather is known for its quality and no one wants to process the leather using any chemicals or cleaning solutions because of the risks involved.

In the end, once they realized they were dealing with alcohol stains, they refused to clean my skirt. They said if they clean it, the process will ruin the softness of the leather. They suggested sending the skirt back to Fendi. I called Fendi, and they said there is nothing they can do about it.

At this point, I’m clueless: I don’t know what to do! The skirt is gorgeous and I just hate looking at it with all the stains on it. If you have any suggestion please HELP!

Wearing: Comme des Garcons pink skirt, Rick Owens tank, YSL booties, vintage bag and tiger belt from Vintage Martini

I went to the Sex and The City 2 private screening on Wednesday night. I  am not sure I liked it as much as the first one. I was a little disappointed with  the wardrobe but there were still tons of great dresses and a lot of amazing fashionistas eye candy. Out of all the outfits, I thought Carrie’s Dior tees with the Zac Posen skirt and shrug outfit was great and Miranda Hobbes in her black gold studded dress was stunning, she carried it off so well!

I’m wearing my pink Comme des Garcons skirt. This big skirt is such a statement piece by itself that I don’t need to think much about what to put with it. All I did was throw on my Rick Owens tank, booties and let the tiger belt tie the outfit together.

This is what I wore out to my friend Alex’s graduation party. Loc and I went with small group of friends to Al Biernats for dinner. There is nothing  better than celebrating with friends  like we all had the best time.

I’m wearing a Christian Dior graphic tee that I recently got at Vintage Martini. Vintage Martini is a cool place to shop for new and vintage clothing. He has pieces from 1930’s–1980’s. I am always really impressed with the selection of vintage Chanel and I love that he has current pieces from Lanvin and Nina Ricci.

I love this tee because I can always dress it down with my vintage Levis and flats or dress it up with a nude 80s big  skirt and some fabulous shoes for a special occasion.
