Hi everyone –
I hope you all are well. It has been days without blogging! I have been living without turning on my computer, taking photos, or visiting and commenting on other blogs. It actually felt great, not that I am not missing you guys!!! I was finally able to do other things besides blogging. Loc and I were able to sit and enjoy our dinner without rushing to finish so we can be on time for photos before the sun goes down. We watched our favorite TV show together, played my favorite games and had some quality time together. Blogging is so much fun but it takes commitment, passion and a LOT of time.
I have all these things, but lately I’m afraid that I don’t have enough time to keep updating my blog as often as I would like to. I’m really proud of myself and happy to let you all know that I’m back to my normal routine. I’m now back with the Bentley Senior Home twice a week. I think it is so important to help the community and that’s something I am really passionate about. Giving back to your community can make you just as happy as enjoying the fashion world! I’m young with a job and no kids and I need to take advantage of my down time to do things that are meaningful. I hope that I still have your support and all the love that you gave me. I thank you for taking time to visit my blog and I hope you all get what you wish for in life. Xoxoxo Nini

I have had my eyes on these boots ever since they arrived at Barneys. I didn’t want to buy them right away because I knew that I was going to NY and I thought that I might find something better there. Over the knee boots were
all over the runway for Fall, but I didn’t see much of them in the stores yet when I visited NYC. I fell in love with these boots because of their masculine feel that still has a sexy side. Because that is Nini’s style 🙂 . The heel is average so I can wear these shoes everyday and most importantly the boots are within my budget.
I can see myself wearing them casually with jeans and a heavy cashmere sweater or dressing them up with a mini dress and adding my transparent Dolce Jacket to complete the look. People are always asking me how I afford my wardrobe and the answer is smart shopping and fashionista planning. When I find a good deal, I stick with it! I love things that are versatile so I can wear them all the time and get my money’s worth! Wouldn’t you ?
Have a wonderful day everyone!
xoxo Nini Nguyen.
PS: I will need to backward counts the comments since it passed the 5000 mark and announce the winner in the next post for that lucky 5000th comments! Again, THANK YOU for helping me to reach that milestone!! <3
I heard people talked about Century 21 in NY all the time! I had to make a trip this time to see what it is all about. This place is huge and packed with people from all over the world. They have racks of clothes from previous season that you have to go through but it’s nicely organized by vendors. If you’re in a budget (like I am 🙂 ) and want to wear designers, this is the place for you!!! You can find anything from Maison Martin Margiela, Rick Owens, Haider Ackermann, Gareth Pugh, Givenchy, Valentino and many more. This is the place where I found my gray MMM one-shoulder top for such a bargain price. If you’re visiting NY, you must make a stop here. It’ll worth your time.
One of the many highlights on my NY trip is that I got to see Carine Roitfeld. It was a dream comes true for me to be able to see her and have my picture taken with my muse. Beside that, I have a really funny story to share :-). After the Rodarte show, Hanh and I went back stage to say hi to the Rodarte sisters and we saw Elijah Wood. I said that he is from Harry Potter and Hanh agrees as well! Both of us came up to him later and I told Elijah Wood that I’m his biggest fan and I love Harry Potter!!!. Elijah Wood just smile and said thank you without correcting me. HOW NICE OF HIM!! As the day go on, I told Loc that I just saw Elijah Wood from Harry Potter and Loc said that he is from Lord Of The Ring not Harry Potter. OH EMM GEEEE !!! How can I mixed Daniel Radcliffe with Elijah Wood???? They look so much alike though!! It was awkward indeed kakaka. Hanh and I saw him again with his girlfriend, Pamela Racine, at the Rodarte after party that night and of course, we turned into a different direction and pretended we didn’t see him 😉 . It was totally celebrities crashed down. I’m pretty bad with celebrities and model names. I need to get my list together 🙂
Have wonderful day weekend everyone!! xoxoxo Nini

Wearing: Comme DES Garcons short bought in NY. MMM top, Givenchy booties, Super sunnies and vintage clutch.
Hanh and I are at the airport right now waiting to catch our flight to
go back home. We attended the Naeem Khan show last night and it was
amazingggg!!! Ranjana Khan was also showing her jewelry collection in the same studio but in a different room.
I have tons of photos to share. We ran into so many people! Miss J from American Top Next Model was there, Linda Fargo and
Ken Downing were loving the jewelry. We also saw some great American Vogue editors:
Meredith Melling Burke and Hamish Bowles seemed to be having a great time. It’s so hard for me to say goobye to NYC because this
time I felt like I was totally in love with it. I really want to move here now 🙂
This is just a quick update. I will talk to you all when I come back home! Happy Friday !

Hanh and I spent a day in Soho today. We went to Topshop to see what all the fuss was about but we didn’t find anything there! Everything seemed to be totally over priced. We had a perfect lunch at Balthazar. Then we continued the afternoon with more shopping at Resurrection, Ina, and Kirna Zabete. We found some fabulous things that I will share with you guys later. We ended our day at Barbounia for dinner with Lynn, and Thumbelina Fashionista. We had a wonderful time. We’re going to see the Naeem Khan show tomorrow and head home on Friday. I have tons of photos to share. I’ll post them up when I get home. xoxox Nini
