I just came up with this idea and thought it would be fun for everyone to
participate. I’m searching for 10-20 new faces for one of my posts. I am titling the post: “Finding Inspiration In The World Of Fashion.”
I know there are a lot of creative people out there and I think it would be fun to see the style of my readers and have them share it! There is nothing more amazing in the world of fashion than inspiration and what could be more fun than to share that inspiration with others? Send me pictures of your outfits with your
name and details about what you’re wearing to nininnguyen@gmail.com. Hanh, myself, and all the readers will rate it. The winner will win a $50 gift card from the store of your choice.
You see her sitting in the front row of every important fashion show, always looking over-the-top, always dressed impeccably. Her hair falling straight forward, she is instantly recognizable with the dark smoky eyes, the heavy eyebrows and the mysterious glance. She is the best dressed woman in the world today. Her powerful style has everyone admiring and following.
Yes, I’m talking about Carine Roitfeld…editor of French Vogue.
In every detail of her life, she has immaculate taste and she is beyond unconventional in her thinking. In the modern world, it is difficult to find stylish women who truly have a voice of their own like Carine. To her fashion is like a language. Some are born with it, some learn it and some will never be able to speak it. She has her own style and plays by her own rules. Not only do I admire her style, I also love her straight forward attitude. Her fashion advice for normal women with a restricted budget is to “buy mainly classic pieces and a new pair of shoes each season. A Burberry trench-coat is always beautiful. Maybe you change the belt and this season you put an Indian scarf. This is my specialty. Simple things to make it happen, to make it different.”
Every spring/summer I have a desire to buy a great flats. It will be my back up when I need to change from my big girl shoes. This black suede Ann Demueulemeester flat is great. I think I’ll use it all spring and summer long. It’s so beautiful with all the laces up and side buckle. I’m thinking pair it with my black faux fur Prada skirt and a white tank for the cool weather right now.
The women’s version with a full tab over, and the men’s version is very similar to mine, but they not quite the same.
Two quotes that I found lately and would like to share them with you. These two quotes apply to our daily life, but some of us just forget to apply it. This is a great refesher for me, and I hope that it is for you as well.
“You can make more friends in two months by becoming genuinely interested in other people than you can in two years by trying to get other people interested in you” – Dale Carnegie.
“If you’re patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow” – Chinese Proverb.

As we all know that shades of the body – blush, nude, beige, and tan are big for spring. I bought this John Paul Gaultier halter top nude with black overlay mesh from Neimans last call 3 years ago. I was shocked, because the top scan out to $78 from $785. Unbelievable right??? I don’t go there too often, but every time I went I always bring home treasure.
I had on Custom National nude shirt, John Paul Gaultier jews halter, Balenciaga legging, and Givenchy swirl shoes.
Hanh and I got together for some sushi last night at Nobu.
Us again with matching shoes 🙂
I had on top from RN Convertible, leather skirt Fendi ( I can’t eat too much when wearing this skirt, because the snap will pop out 🙂 ) , layering necklace from Target and Di Modolo, vintage clutch, A.B.S faux fur, and YSL tribute pump.
Hanh had on Alexander Wang blazer, skirt from F21, Judith Leiber clutch, her personal jewelry, and YSL tribute pump.
We had omakase a.k.a the chef’s choice. He suprised us all these beautiful decorated dishes, and everything just very fresh and tasteful.
