It was such an honor to be in attendance as our friend Rihanna launched her second collection for Puma in Paris at hotel Salomon de Rothschild, where Valentino had shown their Spring 2017 collection just a few days later.
Every single piece from the collection was a dream and it perfectly reflected Rihanna’s style. The fabric quality was high, the cuts were sexy and the pieces were wearable. It was a mix of the mid-century touch and the modern girl. Brocade lace up corsets and jumpsuits stand out as my absolute favorite pieces with pearls and oversized earrings draped over the models. Rihanna has the Midas touch; everything she touches turns to gold. This collection has her touch and I want it all!! PHOTOS BY LOC
Paris has always held a special place in my heart. Paris is electric in too many ways to count. The architecture, the wonderful restaurants and bakeries, the innate fashion sense of the locals-everything here-is so lively and different from our life in the US. This is where Loc and I went for our honeymoon 6 years ago and I’m so happy to be back in Paris with our baby, Sage and Loc’s Mom, Nội.
We attended some shows but mostly spent our time sight seeing, wandering through the city, exploring, eating and drinking. We wanted to bring Sage to all of the places that we love here and she seemed to love them just as much. I’m so grateful to have this experience and share it with our growing family.
This is what I wore to the Esteban Cortazar show: a long maxi pencil skirt, a cropped crisp white blouse and netting on my hair. I feel like this is the city where you can push your boundaries, get out of your comfort zone and try something different with your make-up, hair, and clothes.

Combining vintage and modern clothing is one of my favorite ways to put an outfit together. You can always guarantee a unique look by mixing and matching vintage items with current trends. I prefer a one-of-a-kind outfit because you know that wherever you go, you are the only one who will be wearing your outfit.
Something people don’t always realize is how multi-functional vintage clothing is. Vintage often works well with modern clothing and it helps enhance the wardrobe you already have. I picked up this antique Victorian mesh blouse from Desert Vintage and it’s perfect to pair back with a classic pencil skirt that I already own. I’m also planning to style it with my vintage slip dress and wear it under a blazer.
When I add an item to my closet, I always make sure I can create 3-4 looks with it. I always ask myself that question before I purchase anything because I don’t want an item taking up my closet space if I can only wear it once. Avoiding unnecessary purchases helps free up space in the closet and the shopping budget!
In the summertime I wear lots of neutral colors. Wearing cream on cream is very modern and helps elongate your figure. A neutral outfit is easy on the eyes, comfortable in the heat and it simply makes me happy!
As the renovation of the house continues, I would love to share with you the final products of our white kitchen that I’m cooking in everyday!! Since we have a tiny space, I want something to open up the space and nothing will completes that but WHITE!!! We picked a few slabs for the countertop, some has more of the dramatic veins than others. The one we picked has the least veins which is perfect for a small kitchen. TIP: we took some samples of the quartz home and get a steak knife and run through it, whichever one least get scratches is the winner. We are so happy with the turn out and we are very happy we picked quartz over marble and granite as quartz is modern, durable, stain resistant, and it reduce the opportunity for the bacteria to grow which is so important for all of us. Out look from the kitchen and the living room is out small garden atrium with plants hanging down and cactus. We love having coffee and breakfast out there each morning!!
I love the look of an oversized men’s shirt over a pair of high-waisted pants, a skirt or even with a pair of skinny pants. Many designers are also coming out with women’s shirts that are tailored based on menswear. Depending on proportions, you can add a tailored shirt over a wide-leg trouser for days that are too humid to wear tight clothing.
It’s such a classic Marilyn Monroe-esque look. Instead of wearing a sundress for Sunday brunch, you can wear something like this. Mixing white and cream together is great for summer dressing because you can add several different shades of nude and cream to white and create a summer outfit that won’t send you scrambling to find shade. Wearing dark colors is harder in the summer because of how hot you can get in the sunshine.
I have had this pair of Zara pants since last season. I’m pulling them out again today to re-wear and re-style. I love these pants with a classic men’s linen shirt and my new favorite nudeish pink lace-up shoes from ASOS.
