Hi everyone! Happy Monday!!!! Thanks for all your sweet comments on my previous post. I wore this look out to dinner last night. I have always been a fan of Haider Ackermann and so happy to own my first Haider Ackermann’s piece. I love a good classic pencil skirt that I can wear during the day then switch to night time with different accessories. Hope everyone are well and have a fantastic day! xo Nini
Wearing: Haider Ackermann skirt ( similar ), Christian Louboutin Daffodile blue suede ( similar ), Comme des Garcons top, Margiela nude bodysuit, Margiela for H&M necklace.
Fall is here! As I’ve written about many times, I like to buy a couple of statement pieces every season and add them to a permanent collection. Each season I update with a small amount of basics while keeping the bulk of my budget for vintage or high-end purchases. After many years of arranging and rearranging my wardrobe, I’ve found that keeping your closet heavy with basics and rotating your seasonal investment pieces is the most practical way to shop if you want to get the most out of your budget.
I wanted to share the key items that I’ll be shopping for this season with you guys! The top three items I recommend for this fall are: a great black blazer, a few of basic graphic t’s and a great fitting mini leather skirt.
A great blazer. There is no better item for transitioning from morning all the way past dinner and into an evening cocktail. It’s awesome for when you are traveling and don’t have the space for too many items. You can always just wear black jeans, a simple Vince white T-shirt and then throw on a great long black blazer.
A great graphic t’s. This is a great piece to wear with a simple skirt and heels for an evening out.
A great mini leather skirt. This is not just is a must have for Fall, this is just a MUST have. It just makes your wardrobe better and better because a skirt on the plainer side that fits well can go well with most of your tops.
Since we’re in the middle of the Fall season, I don’t know what else is going to go on my list but I’ll be updating my list so check back! Thanks for reading! xo Nini
Who says you can’t wear a sweatshirt to dinner? It used to be that you could only wear a sweatshirt for working out or at home but these days tons of designers are producing highly designed and tailored items that still have the look and feel of a sweatshirt….perfect for a cool summer night out.
You can wear sweatshirts anytime of the day: it just depends on how you style them. I wouldn’t wear it to a fancy diner but for an outdoor patio meet up with friends or an evening date for a drinks, a sweatshirt would be more than appropriate.
I wore this look out to dinner with my friend and I felt great in it. The dress code was casual but bordering on dressy and this look still worked. I recommend this look for someone that wants to feel a little sexy. For someone that likes to dress a little more conservatively but enjoys this trend can always can pair this sweatshirt with a some white jeans and fabulous strappy heels and it will be equally as good. I’m a huge fan of mixing high/low items and casual/dressy items and I’m having fun experimenting. I hope you all enjoy this trend and thank you so much for reading my blog. xo Nini
