Last week we flew to NYC to attend our Rihanna’s 30th Birthday. Rihanna looked gorgeous – as she always does. Loc and I had such a wonderful time. I wish I could show you some photos from the event because it was so beautifully done but the event was a camera free zone.
I’ve gained quite a bit of weight from the pregnancy and I wanted to look elegant without showing my arms and my curves. I’m wearing a vintage 1920’s duchess satin opera coat which is perfect over any dress.
If you have a black tie event to attend during your pregnancy, try to stick with something with a clean silhouette. I always like dresses that are cut on the bias because they are flattering around the belly and behind. A loose maxi dress is another great option. I also find myself sticking with 3/4 sleeve or long sleeve tops but I try to stay away from baby doll dresses and low cut styles during pregnancy.

We have some amazing news to share! I couldn’t hold it back any longer as we are all bubbling over with excitement: we are expecting baby #2!
Sage is especially looking forward to having a sibling. She has been reading to the bump and even giving it kisses! She shared the news with everyone in her class and even brought the sonogram to school one day without me knowing. I love her personality and I can’t wait to see what she teaches her sibling. We’ve always wanted a baby in a Dog Year and February 16 is the first day of the Year of the Dog.
The pregnancy has been such a blessing. So far I feel amazing and very energetic. I’ve been eating normally, working out 4-5 a weeks at home or doing lagree at One Lagree. I don’t have any cravings but I do eat a lot which is why I gained almost 14 lbs and I’m at 19 weeks. We will find out the baby’s gender next week and I can’t wait to share!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned!

Frenchman’s Cove is one of the prettiest beaches in the world. It is a special place for many reasons but what I like the most about it is that Frenchman’s Cove is where fresh water and sea water meet.
It feels like a secret place surrounded by lush, green ivy hanging down on every side of you and even swings so you can dangle your feet in the water!
There are two life guards on the beach so it’s super safe. It doesn’t feel like a tourist attraction and no one is there trying to sell you anything! We spent a whole day here just eating and drinking coconut juice. The entrance fee to get in is $10 per person and it is free for kids.
My tips for enjoying Frenchman’s Cove: bring your own beach towels and beach mat. Also bring your own water and some snacks. Don’t forget your sunscreen!
