    Hello!

Long-time reader, first-time commenter here. Regarding the vintage boots- have you considered paddock boots? They’re often made by the same companies that make tall riding boots, but they hit at the same height as the boots in your sample image, and the lacing is nearly identical. Companies like Ariat make any number of cool boots, both fashionable styles and working riding styles. I own a pair of black Ariat boots that I love.

    Hi Nini,
Don’t know if you like to buy on ebay or not, but if you do a search for “granny boots”, you will find some flat vintage lace-up ones. It might take some time looking for just the right ones, but I’m sure you will eventually find a pair. Good luck! :-)

Hi Nini! That cuff is off the hook! I wear my leather spiked cuff almost daily! And about those vintage lace-ups..I just bought a pair of lace-up combat boots from target for $7.50..They are not vintage looking at all but with the right look it will look rockin’..and can’t go wrong with the price:

Those spike cuffs are hardcore Nini! And that A. Wang dress is a dream! I’ve seen a couple of those lace up boots at a few vintage and thrift stores in Houston. You should definitely try yours out in Dallas or perhaps Ebay. Good luck!

Oh Nini, I am planning to visit Dallas mid May and I would love to get to see you! Are you planning on working weekends? Please email me at 5thofapril@gmail.com :)
