My Favorite Top 13 Outfits From My Archives

July 8th, 2010

Summer is in full swing and the heat seems here to stay. This is the perfect time to re-assess your wardrobe. I like to go through my archives in the very beginning of each season and again in the middle of the season. As I’ve written about before, going through the things you already own and shopping your own closet can bring surprises. There is nothing better than finding something you forgot you had and integrating it into your seasonal wardrobe.

Going through my archives made me want to do a post on my favorite outfits.  If you’re looking for ideas on what to wear, sometimes it can be best to go through your own archives or even (for all my fellow bloggers) look through old posts for inspiration and to help you refresh your memory. I would love to see your favorite top 13 outfits. Drop me your link if you’re doing it.

NY fashion week look: Maison Martin Margiela black pleated dress, MMM nude body suit,  Balenciaga leggings, Comme des Garcons silver collar Givenchy bag and shoes.

Love my long Rick Owens skirt, AA tees and YSL pumps

The back of this Rick Owens dress is stunning! The length of this dress is a little odd and I’m still looking for a perfect shoes for it. Any suggestions?

My all time favorite shrug. I got it from Salvation Army for $12.99 and it’s the best purchase ever! I’m wearing it with a vintage dress and YSL pumps. I wear it at least once a week, and every time I wear it people stop me to asking me about my $12.99 piece. That just goes to prove that not every thing in your closet has to be expensive. This item really proves why I love to shop at second hand stores: sometimes the cheapest items can become priceless!

Love the clean and simple silhouette of this Maison Martin Margiela top. I forgot that I owned this top until I went through my archives.

Lanvin pink dress with YSL booties. This dress is definitely my favorite. The color of it is just so vibrant. I don’t know what I was thinking trying sell this dress on Ebay for nothing!

Love this wide legged Givenchy pant. The only thing about these pants is that every time I wear them I always step into the hem and trip over it.

With Hanh, wearing Maison Martin Margiela nude cape with Givenchy booties.

I’m a huge fan of high waisted bottoms because they show off my problem area by flattering it. High waisted pants, shorts and skirts help elongate my hips and make my body look longer. The silhouette is versatile and sexy yet sophisticated. Wearing Ann Demeulemeester pants

Love the crazy shoulders of this Dolce & Gabbana blouse. Wearing it with my favorite F21 short and vintage clutch.

Maison Martin Margiela top, Comme des Garcons blommer, vintage clutch and favorite Givenchy booties

Don’t we all love black and white together. Classic combo! Wearing F21 short, Vince tees and Fendi shoes

The color of this Comme des Garcons skirt made me happy. Although I wear a lot of black but pink is my all time favorite color. With Khanh @ SATC 2.

On my Birthday, wearing my favorite YSL black pumps with my favorite people. Christopher Kane dress

Have a fabulous day everyone!!! xoxo Nini

I usually do one of these list at the end of each year summing up my favorite looks from the past year. Here’s my top 10 from 2009. These things are rather fun indeed.

WOOW all outfits are so stunning! You got a great sense of style. Wish I had at least few of your clothes :) must say you remind sooo much of Bai Ling, especially in the SATC 2 event I first thought it was her 😀

That’s such a good idea Nini, shopping your wardrobe brings all sorts of surprises and you can style the items in a totally different way giving you a whole new look.

Such fabulous outfits! Do you find it hard to stand/walk in the YSL booties? I have them as well, but haven’t worn them yet, as they’re so crazy high and uncomfortable, wonder if it’s because I have mostly worn ballet flats since mid 2009 because I was pregnant…

My personal favorites are the pleated RO skirt/dress and then the lace top outfit with the high waisted Ann D pants. But also that 12.99 cape is pretty fabulous too! I’m not surprised you get a lot of compliments on it.

Fun post! I have the Rick Owens dress (with black mesh, not nude) and I think it works really well with nude patent heels…

Such a lovely post!!! You are always so chic. I think I like the nude bodysuit and cape the best, though. It’s always so surprising and requires a second look, which is always a good thing!!

Mmh AND I vote FOR this uber “urban GLAMazon-esque” Maison Martin Margiela top, the way it radically covers an arm while subtly emphasizing the other One AND your naked shoulder ‘s “highly twisted by your aas sweet as strong prestance” Sensuality !!!!
ps: J’espère que tu vas Bien Chère Nini .
