Sands of Time

November 20th, 2011

Can you feel winter? The holiday spirit is in the air and I love this time of year. I enjoy wearing neutral colors as much as I enjoy wearing bright colors, fun prints & black. But lately I’ve been really obsessed with wearing all ivory. It is a way to embrace the winter and to me, ivory seems to feel cozy and fresh at once.  I’m pretty well rounded when it comes to color but I often shy away from embellishment. I try to buy clothes that will last me for a long time that I can wear over and over again for years.

Embellishment is nice for the moment but over time it never fails to begin looking dated. I always recommend my clients to purchase clothes that don’t have an expiration date on them. I personally love a broad range of cuts: my clothes vary from clean lines to funky silhouettes. I’ve written about the value of accessories before and I love to buy clothing that can be jazzed up or dressed down by changing up the accessories.

I’m wearing a big vintage Escada sweater-jacket by  that I recently found for my Timeless Chic boutique. It is super comfortable & warm. Great for traveling! Thanksgiving is just around the corner and this look would be perfect for to spending time with family while looking good and feeling comfortable at the same time.
I hope everyone’s holidays are getting off to a great start! XO Nini

Shoes are just gorgeous. I have been doing the same thing as of late when I buy new clothes. I’ve been going for more classic lines. You have to let me know what lipstick you are wearing, it’s beautiful!!!

You look absolutely adoring in the mm bodysuit and have inspired me to purchase one myself. I do have one question, what brand of undergarment/bra are you wearing underneath. I am having a difficult time finding the right seamless undergarment that will not show any lines.

Wishing you all the best! td
