We have an extra room at home and I decided to decorate it and turn it into my closet. I wanted to do something modern, clean and chic. I decorate my closet just like the ways I dress. I mix low-end, high-end and a few antique pieces. I balanced out my budget and put more money toward investment pieces such as the chandelier, the ivory cowhide pillows (from Barneys New York) and the zebra rug. Those pieces I plan to keep forever!
All the photos on the wall are from my previous photoshoots with Loc.

We found an antique chair at White Elephant and the chair was ivory with brown suede. We painted the chair turquoise for a pop of color in the room since everything else is white and black.

This little brown box is from TJ Max’s Home Goods. It’s great for storage. I paid $39.99 for it. The floor mirror is also from TJ Max’s Home Goods. They have fantastic furniture and decorative things for such a great price. I looked at Z Gallerie where they have items similar to this but they cost 4X more.

I made the drapes. I bought 2 panels of silk dupioni and each was 3 yards long. I sewed them up and saved some money. When making draping for the window you want to pick out a fabric that has a nice body to it. Silk taffeta is another great choice for draping. Stay away from slinky fabric that will create static and stick to the glass.

Some of my all time favorite shoes: front row from left to right: Fendi, YSL, Christian Louboutin, Christian Louboutin, and black python bloddy mary Christian Louboutin
2nd row: Satin Fendi with bows, Givenchy booties, Fendi pony hair booties, and YSL black patent pumps.

My favorite place to get orchids is Home Depot. The price is good and within 1 year if your orchid dies you can exchange it for something else. Got to love that

The disco crystal chandelier is from Neiman Marcus’s Horchow Finale. I got it for 50% off. It was a great find for me. This beautiful zebra rug is from an Antique store here in Dallas called “Lost & Found” where they have the most beautiful antique pieces.

I hope you enjoy this post and all the rest that are to come. xoxo Nini
